Concussions are brain injuries that may result in a bad headache or unconsciousness. These occur when the head hits an object or a moving object strikes the head. Concussions can occur in car accidents or during sports activities.

- Coma is an extended period of unconsciousness in which a person cannot be aroused. It is usually caused by a severe head injury.
